Our Client is a large international sports betting company with outlets all over Europe. After becoming a market leader in the UK they are now established as a leader in sports betting across Europe.


The Primary purpose of this role is to design, develop, implement and test java software

Production of high quality, maintainable code that is delivered on time and meets all project requirements
Writing, maintaining and documenting unit and integration test
Documentation of new and modified functionality.
Performance of peer code reviews and analysis.
Provide support to QA and operations teams to ensure deployment of software applications.



University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Good web development (asynchronous techniques, html, JavaScript, css)
Good database (SQL, relational theory) skills
Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both collaboratively and with limited supervision.
Familiarity with unit testing techniques, in particular using JUnit.
Good UML and OOA/D development skills.


Experience of Jetty, Spring Framework, and PostgreSQL.
Experience of Web Service development, in particular SOAP based technologies.
Experienced in the use of XML.
Experienced in javascript libraries such as protocol or jquery.
Experience of working in an Agile development environment.
Experience of high performance, high availability systems.
Knowledge of build processes: ant, maven, continuous integration.
Knowledge of source control packages, in particular SVN
Knowledge of other computing languages e.g. Groovy/Grails.
Experience of the iGaming industry.
